A former manager once called me “Vincent from China aka Malaysia.”
Maybe it sounded harmless to others. To me, it exposed how easily people reduce identity into stereotypes and assumptions. This is a personal reflection on racism, belonging, and the quiet frustration of constantly being seen as “other” despite knowing exactly who you are.
